Hello, I find roundabouts so confusing and this one in particular. I was with my Dad and he told me I was doing it wrong.

So I wanted to go straight on from the garden centre to the 1079 hullbound, it’s a 2 lane roundabout but the road I was entering from is single lane. Straight on is exit 3/4. Should I join the roundabout on the outside lane and drive round or drive across into the inside lane pull into the right hand lane and then merge?

It depends on the traffic - neither is wrong.

Since your exit is two lanes, it might be fine to keep on the right, but that can be risky, as some people stick to the left lane, even when taking the fourth exit.

The simple answer is that it is a decision for the driver at the time.
