There's a couple of May Bank Holidays coming up - yay! But that does of course mean extra traffic on the roads as people scramble to get away.

We've got the early May Bank Holiday on Monday coming (1st) and then an extra one a week later (8th) to mark the King's coronation.

The RAC's breakdown data and research suggests over the two weekends there will be 32 million car journeys made.

I have been stuck in traffic jams for over four hours on too many occasions caused by Bank Holiday roadworks. All work-related. Some were before the 'invention' of Highways Agency, but some since. When I have taken time out to query why they did not show them on their map of current and predicted roadworks, they ask me to tell them where their roadworks are. This is only relevant to the M25. There have been other instances on other motorways and main roads. Collisions have also caused 4hr+ delays on the M25, but they have a lot of catching up to do to achieve the level of Highways Agency.
