I prefer analogue/mechanical watches too @Drivingforfun
I've tried both the Apple watch and an Android one (called the Moto360 I think) and both were fine, but the notifications were annoying. I get enough of those on the mobile!
Yes the notifications can be switched off, but then the watch basically becomes 'dumb'. I never really got into the health/fitness side of it.
Funny how other items follow a similar story. Printed books have become more popular since e-books came out, likewise vinyl records are v trendy again in the world of mp3s and streaming.
One of my hobbies is photography - I used to own several digital camera bodies and a lot of lenses. These days I only have a camera on my phone. But I'm thinking of getting an old film camera, a 35mm one. Maybe even just a 'point and push' and see what kind of photos I get out of it.
Things is.... I've no idea where to look. Forget eBay, I'd easily be ripped off there because I don't know what's good and what's not.
Obviously I want to spend as little as possible!
