I'll kick it off with what I saw in the garden just now. Just some snowdrops. But they made me happy 🙂

I'm happy today as I have found a new favourite dram (whisky).😉

Also, as this is a motoring forum, whenever I see a Ford Mustang on the roads it lifts my mood and I want to give them a thumbs up.😀

With all the doom and gloom in the world in general, what made me happy was the optimism of this thread. I apologize if this sounds wrong, but it is a genuine thought.

Just went for a lovely drive for no other reason than to go for a drive. Didn't get out at any point. Lovely afternoon/evening weather-wise and very little traffic on the roads.😀

What's made me happy is a successful (minor) operation on my other half's hand. A few hours in hospital, back home and conked out. Hospital staff amazing.

No, that was the current average as Mrs Motman had been driving it. I’m more of a 45mpg kinda guy! 🤣

Not today but yesterday. Went to see a long-standing friend. Haven't seen him since before covic as his wife has been in and out of hospital. She is all sorted now and we had a good catch-up.

This is what really matters

Spent the weekend swanning around Beds and Cambs again. The reason we were there was a son-in-law's birthday barbecue, but we spent the night at theother daughter's house and Sunday swanning around garden centres. Spent a fortune on some garden furniture, but driving along empty lanes in the sun made the day.

My neck of the woods, would usually have wondered if I'd bumped into you Rolebama, but was at barbecues myself on both Saturday and Sunday, and not in a state to drive. 😀

Just had a letter through the post. Had my "personal independence payment" (disability benefit) renewed.

I opt to sacrifice my money for a car under the Motability scheme and am due to get a new one in September. Have chosen... a Mini John Cooper Works.

Still can't believe they offer this, I presumed the scheme was to enable people into a functioning basic vehicle, not a performance car. That said I did pay a substantial non-refundable deposit.

Looking forward to it... 😀
