First time driver.

Hello, I'm new to the forum. My first question if someone can help me. At over 50 years old now, I'd like to learn to drive. Going back 30 years I had a provisional driving license in my early 20's and did ride small motorcycle up to 125cc. Back then I picked up 6 penalty points on a license I didn't yet have. (No insurance riding a motorcycle) So fast forward 30 years.. wanting to learn to drive, I need to apply for a provisional driving license, before I can start. Now after all those years, where do I stand now in 2021 since back in 1991 with my 6 penalty points that hadn't been added, because I have never held a full driving license. Any help would be much appreciated. And thank you for reading.

Best AnswerOP, the points would in fact have been added to your provisional licence..It's now irrelevant as they have long, long expired. You'll start with a clean record. -
In the UK, penalty points on a provisional driving license should still be valid even after a long period of time. It's important to note that penalty points do not expire over time like some other records might. These points could potentially affect your application for a new provisional driving license.

@ronnie45 You are replying to a two-year-old question, so a bit irrelevant now,
In any case, you are wrong. Most endorsements stay on your driving record for four years. only really serious ones stay for longer, but even then, eleven years max.
