Car not accelerating

I have a nissan primera 2.0 petrol 04 P12, automatic transmission. The car is not picking up speed when I start driving it, gear seems to be stuck on gear 2. The cvt light blinks on the dash, I had the cvt changed but same problem still persists. Had the car scanned, result says transmission system has no fault, any advice on what might be wrong?

Have you checked the CVT dipstick level?.. .. when it's too low it causes numerous issues one being on the torque converter.
There are normally two pulleys connected by a steel drive belt. Each pulley uses what's sometimes called a stepper motor to vary its diameter so as one pulley gets smaller the other gets larger in order to change gear ratios.
if the stepper motor fails the pulleys will be unable to change diameter hence stuck in the gear it was in when this happens. This may vary from car to car but is the general outline of the system, so get a specialist to look...confuses things more when your system isn't identifying.a fault at all.
