Car accident, could not remember

    Hi,

So I was in a car accident driving at 40mph at night, i hit a parked car, I saw the at the last minute and swerved which resulted in my car flipping over in mid air and landing on its roof.

at the time of the accident I couldn't recall anything on what happened, all I remember was my car being very dark and the window being smashed with the yellow street light tint shining down on the floor.

I told the police in a statement that I cant recall and I think I may of blacked out, they told the ambulance driver who then took me for a check up, it was only till next day I could recall what had happened, so when I called the insurance I told them I hit a parked car and didn't see it till last minute.

Now dvla has requested me to fill a medical form as police has informed them I may have a condition that result in my license being revoked.

What will happen next ?Will I lose my license ?

You could try contacting CAB, see if they can help.

Short term memory loss is not un-common after a trauma.

Otherwise I would fill in the form, bearing in mind that your short memory loss was probably due to the crash.

You may need to get a medical report to support your argument.
