So i sold a car it has 11 months mot buyer came and looked bought a friend with him test drove it and looked around it. He then paid for it we transfered it online. He then calls me three days later saying he has taken it to a garage and turbo has gone rear suspension gone and it is unroadworthy repairs to cost £4000 he is he is contacting solicitors and is trying to take me to court.
I don't understand how it is unroadworthy when it passed mot less than a month ago.
I have bought another car with the money and don't have any left what do i do i am confused this is first time selling vehicle privateley.

As long as you did not go beyond saying it had an MOT, and said something like, ' as far as you know the engine runs OK' then you are in the clear.

If you do get a solicitors letter, contact CAB for advice.
